Day 2. Today I am thankful for the life of my mother, Mildred Nelson Bethea Boutwell. Daughter of Ray and Estelle Nelson, sister to Geneva Nelson Feltman, Rev. George Nelson (deceased), and Arthur Ray Nelson. Wife to Thomas Rabun Bethea, Sr.. Mother to Kathy Bethea White, Darla Nette (Totsie) Bethea Mims, Jodi Bethea Broach, Rabun Bethea, Dawn Cooper, and Travis Bethea. Grandmother to fifteen grandchildren. Great-grandmother to sixteen. In 1992 our beloved father, Thomas Bethea, passed away. Ten years later mother remarried her long-time friend Herbert Clancy Boutwell after the death of his dear wife and dear friend of our mother, Janelle. Mother was a daughter, sister, mother, step-mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend like no other. Faithful to The Lord first and most faithful to her family and friends. She was a servant always to others. If there was a need she was always there to meet it. She spent her life as an example of what a Christian should be and for that I am most grateful!
