Day 2 complete! 95 miles! Today we started our journey in Brigg, through the USA apparently, passing in New York and Boston, marching down to a small town called March. And it was splendid, weve been hearing about poor weather conditions back on the south coast, including flooding on the A21 causing it to shut!? And wed like to take the time to let everyone know it was a glorious day today without a cloud in the sky from midday onwards :) It was a great day, we split our trip into manageable chunks, attaching a GPS to the front of the bike so we didnt get lost, and the wind was very mild. We were even entertained with an air show of around 15 jets, which Jamie loved! After we stopped for lunch the land became dead flat, the sun was shining there wasnt a cloud in the sky and I was enjoying the moment embracing the atmosphere and due to a complete lack of attention, I found myself in a ditch on the side of the road followed by a hard hit on the Tarmac. Whoops. All in all today went well though, weve now only got 70 or so miles tomorrow as we did so well today. Well be passing through Cambridge and stopping just outside of London. Were so very close to our target of £800 for fundraising for Raleigh International if you could help us reach the last stint by visiting the page justgiving/michael-hiett we would be very grateful.
