Day 2 in the Invictus Games has been truly star studded with some stellar sporting achievements. Celebrities joined supporters in the crowds to witness events of breathtaking, terrifying brilliance in the Wheelchair Rugby in the Copper Box Arena and spectacular accuracy in the archery in the QE Olympic Park. At the end of the day Prince Harry and stars of sport and entertainment took to the court in the Copper Box Arena for an exhibition match which pitched husband against wife and the Household Cavalry against the Royal Logistic Corps. For team Invictus Prince Harry (Captain Harry Wales Household Cavalry Regiment) was joined by Zara Tindall and former England Rugby player Jason Robinson. For team Endeavour Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes (former Royal Logistic Corps driver and Army Physical Training Instructor) was joined by Denise Lewis and Rugby World Cup winning Mike Tindall (Zaras husband). They did battle under the watchful eye of managers Rugby World Cup winners Jonny Wilkinson and Sir Clive Woodward. To the delight of the capacity crowd Team Invictus won 8-6. The exhibition match, was featured live on BBC’s One Show, with highlights broadcast on BBC2. The game was immediately followed by the Final of the Wheelchair Rugby between Team GB and the USA. The Copper box went wild as the teams were neck and neck. Seven all at the half time break turned into 12 all until thirty seconds before the final whistle blew the British Team scored the winning try to make it a 13-12 gold medal victory.
