Day 2 of NKT™ Level 1 complete in SF. Here are the takeaways from yesterdays class. 1. When a centrally located muscle such as the glutes becomes inhibited, it can cause global compensation. 2. In order to create stability, the body will compress a joint. This is especially noticeable in the hips. 3. The TFL can easily become inhibited causing various dysfunctional movement patterns, such as valgus knees. 4. In 2 jointed muscles, it is not unusual to see a dysfunctional relationship between the proximal and distal fibers. 5. Always check the popliteus in knee problems. 6. After analyzing a Single Leg Stance, correct the supinated side first.
