Day 2 of National Masters Rowing Championships update. Half the day has been spent dodging the near cyclonic winds and rain. Repressed nightmare memories of Ballarat 2 years prior started to come out. MixD8+ was finally raced after we got to the start line only to be told that racing was suspended. Started rowing back to be then told that racing was back on. No change to the weather at all. Very choppy and we finished 4th to some very good crews. Smatterings of ex Olympians and current masters state rowers were our competition. Well done to Elaine being part of the winning A8+ withe the LURC jugernaught ladies. Racing suspended again after another storm came thru. Single sculls were actually surfing the swells coming back. F8+ missed the final by 0.6 sec. Bingy and Ross thru to the final of D2- in easy fashion. Bronze to Conrad and Shane in the C2-. Beer oclock. Early start tomorrow with the reschedule. Rest up PHRCs as its a big day tomorrow culminating with Bingy in the IS 4x and Drew and Ross in the IS 8+. #GoHouse #GoVics
