Day 2 of The Fitts family summer vacation lead us into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where we enjoyed a 2.6 mile round trip hiking adventure with gorgeous views to Laurel Falls. Our next stop for the day was Cades Cove where we encountered wildlife such as turkey, deer, and a bear. Oh my!! I also considered the possibility of trading the fast paced city life for a much simpler one with a log cabin in the valley. No running water, electricity, satellite, wifi, or cell phones here. We work and we work hard. We eat what we grow and we eat what we raise. And if we need any money, Marc could always start his own moonshine business in the woods...
