Day 2 of the 5 Days challenge - Stitching and mending the Blues Ill take you today to a world of blues, indigo old or recycled fabric, where much love has been put to grow the fibers, weave them, naturally dye them, and stitch them back to a life of gentleness and softness. Ive selected various pieces, some posted before, others unknown from my archives. Im passing on this 5 days, each day 3 to 5 art pieces, to my FB friend and stitching colleague, the talented Erin Endicott Daniels. Another dear friend, Antje Goldflam, told me to link with Erin, which I did right away. From then on weve been stitching and in touch, both inspired by fabrics, papers, inks, and especially the meditative handstitching. Erin runs a wonderful public group on Fb called Erin Endicott Contemporary Embroidery. Her work is meaningful, conceptually strong, yet full of gentleness.
