Day 2 of the 5 day bender. We have kegs that have been cellared for close to three years now that we are tapping just for today. The Beast, Fire Breathing Beast and Smaug. We smoked some English Maris Otter barley over some Irish peat and then brewed a dark, rich, malty ale. Full of flavors like chocolate, earth, smoke, cherries, apples, berries. Thats The Beast. We barrel aged that in a whiskey barrel for 6 months. That is Fire Breathing Beast. We left one barrel alone for a full year. That is Smaug.
