Day 2 of the tear down. Got the radiator off. Some difficulty with the bolts but worked through that. Just cut the hoses off as they need replacing anyway. Somebody had used 2 little squares of carpet for mounting pads rather than rubber ones. The fan has taken a beating over time so Im going to replace it. Got the floorboards off. Not too bad but required some crisis management on my part but got it done. I keep looking at the wiring. Its just awful. Im pretty sure I can make a new one to the proper lengths and proper bundles. Gave up for the day on the 3-point components. Sheared cotter pins, bent u-joints. Just hard to get to stuff. I think I can get the left side apart next but the right side Im going to have to give it some thought. May have to resort to heat. Anyway, made some progress today with no major injuries to myself or the helper cat.
