Day 2, which isnt even over, of my intern Sasha Fenimores exploits in Mobile. We drove to Vapor Dreamz and met with David Fleming and Tony Plosczynski and got to wrap our heads around a new mural that we start tomorrow that involves positive life choices and the Flower of Life and the Torus. Then we came home and knocked out some sketches and finished a piece on a back wall at Bistro Escoffier. We are about to head to ODalys to outline another piece of wood to replace the sign that was stolen from my house. Then Darcey Mckinney will be helping us create time lapse photographs with gloves and lights. Pics to come of course. Now, if Noell Broughton would approve my sketches, we can get started on his bathrooms at the Brickyard Dauphin Street. ;) Im trying to talk them into letting us go nuts in there. ;) And last but not least, we submitted a supply list to the Mobile Arts Council for the honor of doing the SouthSounds Music Festival window in the Hoffman building on Dauphin for March/April. Keep an eye out for a steampunk themed installation in the style and colors of Rachel Robinsons flyer for it. Im letting Sasha take the wheel mostly, But I can say this: there will be a tuba and mechanical birds and floating islands and gears involved. ;)
