Day 20 of Gratitude ~ Thankful for the gift of Anticipation! What a delightful emotion! :) Maybe it was Bill and I singing our hearts out to Carly Simons rendition of Anticipation? Such great memories as it blared on my cool Blaupunkt stereo in my cool Mach I Mustang! A..1979! :) Fast forward to 2013! Anticipation comes in quite different forms today... From our Golden Retriever absolutely going NUTS and whimpering at the thought of Roger, the cool pool guy, coming to clean our pool! (Madden ADORES Rodger and his mouth drools at the anticipation of that oh so huge Milkbone Roger will deliver! :) To...Me...anticipating MY absolutely FAVORITE holiday...Thanksgiving!!! I LIVE for Thanksgiving all year long! I anticipate the gathering of my precious family and friends in a decorated home, with a fireplace burning golden hues, beautiful flowers and oh so yummy food! I LOVE the anticipation of preparing our traditional family favorites! Just a few things on the menu...The famous picking turkey (dont ask:)) zucchini custard rice bake, green beans with Meyer lemon and Parmesan vinaigrette, homemade Parmesan Honor yeast rolls, Pink Goo (dont ask::) pumpkin pie with oatmeal cinnamon crumb topping and bourbon maple whipped cream! OH how I DO LOVE to anticipate!. I PROMISE its MORE than just food! :)
