Day 20....today I am thankful for the gift of friendship. I have been blessed with many good friends but today my heart is especially thankful for my BFF, Diane Lopez. Diane and I have been friends since 1976! Thats along time and our friendship continues to deepen and grow sweeter with each day that passes. The old saying that opposites attract is definitely true is our case. But God in all His wisdom and compassion knew I was going to need a Diaski in my life. Through good, bad, glad, sad, laughter and tears we have been together. We shared some of lifes biggest joys together as well as some of the most difficult. One of my most precious memories of Di is when my Dad had come home from the hospital the last time he was admitted before he parse away. He had no appetite and was tired of us fussing at him to eat something. I was talking to Diane about how frustrating it was and the very next morning she was at my folks house with her famous chocolate chip cookies! For the last 4 days of his life thats all he ate was Dianes cookies and his coffee. Thats love and friendship in action. I love my BFF and will always be thankful that the Lord brought us together. ðŸ‘
