Day 21 - ALL IN Fasting and Prayer As this fast has come to a close, we as a staff pray you are closer to Jesus right now than you were 21-days ago because you committed to fast & pray..mitted yourself to putting HIM in His proper POSITION. On this last day, I was reminded of the familiar story of Mary & Martha. Luke 10:38-42 (MSG) As they continued their travel, Jesus entered a village. A woman by the name of Martha welcomed him and made him feel quite at home. She had a sister, Mary, who sat before the Master, hanging on every word he said. But Martha was pulled away by all she had to do in the kitchen. Later, she stepped in, interrupting them. “Master, don’t you care that my sister has abandoned the kitchen to me? Tell her to lend me a hand.” The Master said, “Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.” I encourage you as the fast is now over, dont settle back into old patterns, but what God has started new and fresh in you, fan that flame! Find yourself, as Mary did, hanging on to every word The Lord is speaking to you, then stand on it! You will carve out time for things you feel are of high importance to you...and theres nothing more important than sitting before Jesus. As Martha fell into the trap of focusing on what really wasnt important, as you wake up on day 22, dont let distractions of the world around you keep you from what youve been experiencing with The Lord. Continue to sit at His feet. Make a decision to be a Mary in the Martha world you live in. 2014 is your year! 1st - Ask God what He wants for you...when you know that 2nd - Claim it! Declare it! Stand on it! -Pastor Ryan #antiochfast #antiochchurchkc
