Day 21: Harrison has officially been home for 3 days now! Woot woot! The recovery period has proven to be a rollercoaster thats similar to the one I was on just a couple days ago. Harrison had a great day yesterday- begging for meals, playing for a couple minutes with his new Lamb Chop toy and trying to talk for us. This morning was a different story though. Harrison woke up at 8am a bit green and has been that way all day. :( He threw up a plastic Ziploc bag at one point! The vet told us that she thought he had ingested something foreign (from to the X-ray scan) but didnt think it would be a problem when it came to passing it. Harry had no interest in food or much water, so around noon when he wasnt any better, I cancelled the follow up appt scheduled for today. The appointment was to recheck his liver enzymes but with him being so dehydrated already this afternoon, the levels would have still been high. I chose to let him rest and work on getting him rehydrated instead. Were giving him Pedialyte and water through syringe and he had some plain Greek yogurt hand feed to him. Pitiful, I know! Hes received a lot of care and attention today and were all hoping his system has finished cleansing itself and will begin to readjust to his old healthy habits. Harrys follow up is now rescheduled for Wednesday the 9th. Well keep everyone update until we get to Ireland later this month (all fingers crossed!!!) and we can finally settle back into life as a family again! Thank you all again for your kind words of support and excitement upon Harrisons return! If only I could portray to him how loved he is by all of you... ♥ Nic
