Day 21, Psalm 63:1 - O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is. As I woke up this morning, I could hear Bishop Charles Watkins singing, When I Wake Up in Glory. I found Working on the Building which coincided with my devotional reading and though I would share this with you today. 2 Timothy 2:5 says: If anyone competes as an athlete, he does notg win the prize unless he competes according to the rules. NASB Determination and physical discipline go hand in hand for athletes, so faith and a spiritually consistent life work together for those of us who believe in God. Athletes train their bofies every day and they observe the rules that guide them because their goal is to win the race. We as Christians must also train by exercising our spiritual muscles through consistent prayer, Bible study, fasting and obedience to God if we want to make it to the finish line, eternal life.
