Day 21: Taes Road 2 Recovery We believe its already done! Dr. Gerald K. Butler had another exciting day at the Shepherd Center. Ole boygot him a new whip (wheelchair)! My sister Shumonica Brinson said he was checking it out like it was his new car. The nurse was trying to tell him he could now push himself and he kept saying ummmm hmmmm ummm hmmmm! Lol If you know Tae you already know he is going to do it his way. 😂😂This week the therapists are working on strengthening his motor skills. So that he can begin to function in the capacity he was before the accident. I am so glad I work with a team of smart doctors and nurses because when I get anxious they know how to reel me back in. 😊 The good thing about Taes progress is he can comprehend what you are saying ,but his processing and his reception is different. Thats all normal and one day soon his brain will snap back to normal as if the accident never existed. The process seems long to us, but he is far ahead of the text book!
