Day 21 of my Thanksgiving 2014 SO thankful today to run into yet another person from my past. Due to circumstances of my divorce, we hadnt seen each other in 4 plus years. Choices were made then...blood IS thicker than water. I understand that. But, we had shared sickness, births and deaths. Holidays and birthdays. We were confidants. Tonight we caught up. Put all the garbage of the past IN the past. After all, WE were friends. And, now, we are again. I have NEVER been one to forgive and forget. More of a hold-a-grudge FOREVER kinda (old)girl. I have to admit, THIS feels much better!! Im not sure why Ive had two chance encounters in the past 2 days but, I do believe, everything happens for a reason. Im thankful for that. The good and the bad. Its all necessary for growth as a person. Just wish I hadnt wasted so much time figuring it out. There is power in forgiveness. Thank you, Lord
