Day 2116 was almost the end of the streak. I bashed my head on a steel girder and was bleeding like a stuck pig. I went to the emergency room After waiting two hours, with 10:00 getting closer and closer, and knowing that I had not run yet, I got very nervous. I finally cornered a nurse and told her that I thought I was lost in the system. She checked and said that I was scheduled for a cat scan. I told her to cancel the cat scan and get someone to put some staples in my head and give me a tetanus shot. A doctor finally came and asked me if I was sure. I told him yes and get me out of here by 11:00 PM. He sent in a PA who put in four staples and gave me a shot and released me. It is 11:30 and I just finished my mile. Whew!
