Day +212 William received a call today that his blood cultures are still growing and not responding to the vancomycin. The infection started in his PICC line so they removed it yesterday. He did another round of antibiotics today through a regular IV and will do another round tomorrow through an IV. Monday morning we are heading to MDA to do the six month post transplant tests that had to be postponed last month. Plus he will have a new PICC line inserted. William is tired. He is tired of being sick. He is not in a good emotional state right now. When we see his stem cell doctor at MDA, we really need to have a long talk! William doesnt seem to be getting better, he seems to be getting worse. I have a nagging feeling that something just isnt right. Maybe one of the tests will reveal something. I dont know, I just know we need to find out whats happening and address it. Please pray with me that whatever is going on will be brought to light, so that he can finally get back on the road to recovery! And please pray for strength for William as he just continues to take this physical and emotional beating.
