Day +22: How great to report today better blood results than yesterday. The big liver and kidney issue seems to be tracking back down, a long and slow way to go but 2 days in the right direction is a win! Damien also managed with help 2 sets of 2 laps of the ward. He is still very weak but making small improvements. He is still plagued by the side affects of the steriods that make him feel edgy, uncomfortable and fuzzy just something we will have to manage for 3 or so months. On a side note he was given the alternative medication basiliximab strangely a mouse/human chimerism sourced medication. He didnt find it funny when I asked if he would like cheese with that? Maybe a few more days till his sense of humour is back that is the real sign he is getting better when he is back to giving me trouble!
