Day 234: It would be a great honor if I personally knew Barbara Bush; however, the closest I will probably every get to know her is to frequent the library named in her honor. The Barbara Bush library is one more thing that is stable in my life. The day we closed on our home, I left the title company and went straight to the library to get my library card. I tried to get it the day before but was told I had to have proof of my address. The library is a vital party of my life – I often walk to the library, check out books and cd and hike back to the house. The staff there is extremely helpful. The children’s library has been a frequent spot for my grandson who loves to read. I have used the library conference room for seminars and conferences at no cost. The library is a resource that has enriched my life and I am grateful that it is within walking distance of my home. Grateful for the Harris County facilities that are available to me, especially the Barbara Bush Library.
