Day 24- Breaking the rules... I know its supposed to be a photo of the day but I couldnt help myself because I am one PROUD mama. This is a video of Anika at her simulation today. Simulation is a run through of what they are going to do at their upcoming competition. Today my girl landed her Axel. Over the last 7 months there have been nice words, not so nice words. Encouragement, laughter, fear, frustration, tears...more tears..... more tears. loss of hope, distraction and exhaustion. All in the name of this Jump. She has worked harder than any other 10 year old I know. It blows me away how dedicated she is. And in that moment when she landed and then landed it again I could see relief wash over her face. The smile she had is permanently burned into my mind. It was only to our surprise that she had Finally got it when 2 hours later she came back for the simulation and did it again! I love you miss Anika and am SO beyond proud of you and the person you are turning out to be. I am so lucky to be able to see her living her dreams.
