Day +24: Blood levels on par with yesterday and we scored another day pass! Damien is physically getting stronger everyday. Partly real recovery part determination to come home asap. The Drs test patients with day passes to qualify for discharge. A great family day with my brother and Bec taking their kids and ours to the museum. A visit from Damiens sisters Kylie and Jodie gave me a chance to duck out and buy some supplies. With the chances of coming home full time this week (yes this week!!!) it was time to invest in some useful technology. A new thermometer, as a rise over 38 during the first 100 days requires readmission to hospital. A medicine tablet case with mini alarm and thanks to the brilliant idea from my sister in law Bec a door bell that Damien can use when resting in the bedroom to get my attention. Anyone with a 2 and 4yo knows how noisy a house can get. I didnt really love the idea of a bell LOL. Took a while to tweak but works a treat! Then the highlight a rest together. Nothing better than seeing your husband sleeping next to you ♡
