Day 24: Night Gallery “Good evening, and welcome to a private showing of three paintings, displayed here for the first time. Each is a collector’s item in its own way—not because of any special artistic quality, but because each captures on a canvas, suspends in time and space, a frozen moment of a nightmare...” And so begins Rod Serling’s Night Gallery. Everyone remembers The Twilight Zone, but not as many people talk about his follow up. Airing from 1970-1973, Night Gallery was the second horror anthology hosted and created by Serling and featured stories by H.P. Lovecraft, Richard Matheson, and Rod Serling himself. Steven Spielberg makes his directorial debut in the pilot movie with a decent short called Eyes.
