Thank you for stories like these that remind us that behind all our sings, ugliness and hurt is a deep, desperate desire to be loved. The villains of every story are merely lost and craving You, even though they seek solace elsewhere. Help us to satisfy their cravings by feeding them with Your love. Help us to approach the darkness in our lives with bold love and fierce compassion so we can see how much more of a difference we can make when we do things Your way! Amen. Were afraid that asking looks desperate, pushy and foolish. We think we shouldnt have to ask for what we want - we should just automatically get it. But as the saying goes, if you never ask, the answer is always no. I used to think I either had to take a full-time job and abandon my dreams or pursue my dreams and live on the street. But then I worked up the courage to ask my boss if I could have flexible hours so I could audition. To my surprise, he said his wife was in the business, and he fully supported me pursuing both paths. All that time I had been living in anguish, because I had said no to the possibilities before he even could. Asking for what you want is not a sign of weakness, and it is not taking advantage. It is assertively carrying out your due diligence to yourself, the person youre asking, and ultimately Gods calling for your life. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and the door shall be opened!
