Day 24: Thursday, September 25, 2014 Sun Salutations The Sun Salutation or Surya Namaskar is a series of 12 postures that improves over all health and well being. There are many benefits to the Sun Salutation, improving circulation, respiration and digestion as well as warming up the body, stretching and tonight the muscles, increasing flexibility,especially through the spinal column, and calming your mind in preparation for your day. Begin your day with a 5 minute silent meditation, focusing on the breath and the third eye point and repeating to yourself, silently, a positive affirmation for your day. Follow with 6 rounds of Sun Salutations, 3 leading with the right, 3 with the left. Lisa Meer walks you through two rounds of Classical Surya Namaskar in the video below.
