Day 245: It is absolutely, amazing...everyday two or more people still check on me to see how I am doing! So, I would just like to THANK everyone that has kept me in their thoughts and prayers...it means so much to me and it definitely has helped my heart/health progression! It has been 35 weeks since my heart attack, 25 weeks since my surgery for my defibrillator/pacemaker, 16 weeks now since my triple by-pass surgery (to the day), 8 weeks ago I was admitted in the Jackson Hospital (Montgomery AL) for Congested Heart Failure and now I have been home for 50 days...so BLESSED! So far, the first month of school and September has just blew by...4 weeks already! I have been an AFJROTC instructor now going on 6 years and this year by far has been the strongest group of cadets from top to bottom that I have been fortunate to mentor! Wow and at the Arlington Career Center Back-to-School breakfast this past Saturday 59 out of 75 cadets attended...as well as 50+ parents came to support their cadets! Also, this small group of awesome cadets have already completed 404 community service hours, performed in eight color guards, had a few Group Leadership meetings, many, many drill practices, they have been getting ready for their inspection from HQ AFJROTC (which they should blow out of the water), started their first fundraiser of the year today, the 2nd/3rd year cadets have wore their uniforms from the 2nd day of school on and all will wear them on Pride Day this Thursday thanks to Mrs. Sue Ford Reese, have been visited by the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force James A. Cody and this just the tip of the iceberg for them! GOD is Great and I am a very, very BLESSED man! This is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. —Philippians 1:9-10
