Day 25 - 40 DOP. Jesus was asked what is the greatest - TopicsExpress

Day 25 - 40 DOP. Jesus was asked what is the greatest commandment? He said, to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength. Now, what about the second greatest commandment? He answered: The second is this You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:31. It is the second we have been carrying out by acts of kindness and love towards others. That is the intent of the grace that God has poured into our hearts. Grace we share with others. D. L. Moody, a great preacher and theologian said Use me then my Savior, for whatever purposes and in whatever way you may require. Here is my poor heart, an empty vessel, fill it with your grace. Indeed that is what God does. As we yield our lives He fills them with grace and more grace. It will never run dry. The Book of James says the grace is ever increasing. The more we need the more we get. What do I do with such Amazing Grace? I share it. I do not hold on to it. God brings people into our paths every day who need His grace. We have been given so much, do we dare just hold it tightly in our hands and not share it? Ann Voscamp in her book One Thousand Gifts, says If I close these fingers, try to hold, hoard the river - dam up the grace - wont the river grow stagnant? ... I think of this. Grace is alive, living waters. ... I turn my hand over, spread my fingers open, I receive grace. And through me grace could flow. Like a cycle of water in continuous movement, grace is meant to fall, a rain ... again and again. I hold loosely this grace He has given me. We have said we will intentionally look for those who need the refreshment of Gods grace. Let the river flow! Let the rain begin.
