Day 25 #30daysofscdawareness We so much want to change the way people perceive sickle cell but every time I look at any websites, literature, pamphlets and such..... the people depicted are always people of color. We are fighting so hard to change the way people see this disease but not until we change that and show ALL the #facesofscd will we completly change the way this disease is perceived. I would like to see all colors, all nationalities being represented and speaking out for awareness of this awful disease. I am going to start here! I am sharing my 3 beautiful, strong warriors and the ones I have met along the way that are not the stereotypical sickle cell warrior! I want all to be educated that it is NOT a disease of color but of the blood and its time this disease becomes priority! Lets share all the faces here and help spread awareness!
