Day 25: Dr Rob just came in, sporting the lovey unicorn hat with the best news ever.....guess what everyone???? WE ARE GOING HOME!!!!!! After 25 Days in the hospital, 9 days in the PICU, 1 emergency surgery, CT scans, XRays, 4 Ultrasounds on her belly, 6 different antibiotics, a staph infection, CDiff, 3 units of platelets and 4 units of blood! We are gong home on TPN, IV Flagyl, IV Zofran, IV Reglan/Benedryl, and her PCA pump with Dilaudid. I havent seen Keira this happy in weeks! I know it will be hard to keep up with everything at home but at least we have amazing home health nurses that are very close to us if we need anything. She keeps telling me she cant wait to go see her puppy Lucee and her family! Thank you Lord for being with all of us this last month and for giving Keira the strength, physically and emotionally, to get through this very difficult time. Thank you all for your constant prayers, thoughts, messages, gifts that helped lift Keiras spirits (books, hats, a camera, crafts, snacks, cards, gift cards, stuffed animals), meals at home and so much more!! I could never thank you all enough for always being there and supporting our family! So the plan is that we will be going home with the PICC line and hopefully getting her new port on Thursday and beginning the next round of chemo on Friday! Thank The Lord the next round of chemo is not as harsh on her body as the last rounds have been. We will not have Dox again until after January and we only have 2 rounds of Dox left! Thank you all for everything!!!
