Day 27 of my 30 Days of Gratitude: 1) The phenomenal staff at Shasta Marina on Lake Shasta. Pretty much everyone of them was kind, welcoming and helpful during our boarding and check in process for the houseboat this morning. You can really tell they care about making sure you’re having a phenomenal experience, and boy that make such a difference. 2) Paddle Boarding, and more importantly, my phenomenal wife’s insistence that we try it out. Procuring the rental board back home added a fair amount of time and effort to the departure prep, so I was less than enthusiastic about it considering everything else that needed to be done. But after just a brief time on it this afternoon, I am “on board”. Thanks for pushing me past my complacency honey! It is a blast. 3) 4G wireless broadband. I stand in awe of the fact that I’m sitting in front of my laptop on a houseboat in the middle of Lake Shasta posting my appreciations to facebook. In theory, you could telecommute from one of these houseboats. Now that’s a lifestyle and can get behind.
