Day 28 I am thankful to thankful.... Not meant to be a cryptic statement. In our world of chaos, mayhem, pain, fear, corruption and disdain... It is so progressively easy to become hardened. Once one loses heart it is hard to find the gentle calm and spirit of Thanksgiving. The Bible speaks of the heart 1100 times and does so for a reason. The physical heart is not just a blood pumping, life sustaining organ, but the spiritual seat of the soul... And just like the physical heart can become sclerotic and cold. Therefore as we are advised in Proverbs 4:23. Above all else guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. As we receive the newness of daybreak and receive the gifts from a host of opportunities that lay before us, let us take heart and rejoice in thanksgiving. Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, I am thankful and pray that you will create in me a pure heart...so that I may bask in the spirit of thanksgiving, now and forevermore!
