Day 28: The Joyful Mysteries - Today starts the petition of thanks to Our Lady for answering the prayer intention we set at the beginning of this 54 Day Novena. If you are new to the group, you can still join in and say the Rosary with us - there is no need to delay. She wants you here, in fact, if you found us or the group found you have been called here by Her. She needs you here and so do we. There is much work to be done. For newcomers, She wants you to know, there are no strict rules although She continues to ask us to follow Her ancient guidelines and not to change the verbiage of the prayers - as hard as they may be for some of us. If you struggle with the words, just post about it and the more older members will help you through it. Ive prayed to Her for guidance regarding my nine days of posts and they will be devoted to Marian Apparitions and Pilgrimage sites around the World in recent times. The act of Pilgrimage to a Sacred Site is life changing, if you have the ability to partake in this ancient practice please do so. However and most importantly, Mary wants us to know we never have to travel far to see Her and that she with us ALWAYS and constantly by our side. The Rosary offers us a physical connection to Her, a constant companion we can cling to in times of doubt. Our Ladys Favorite Prayer In recent times the Mother of God has appeared in various parts of the world and asked for the recitation of the Rosary, the prayer she gave to the world centuries ago. It is her favorite prayer for it is essentially a meditation on the life of her Divine Son. The Rosary is a combination of vocal prayer (the Our Fathers & Hail Marys) and of mental prayer, namely, reflection on important events in the life of Christ and His Mother.
