Day 28 of 125 Days of Prayer – Isaiah 52:7 My WMU Story: Mary Longmire, Blaine, Tennessee My WMU story began when I was a Sunbeam. We had stories, songs and pictures. My first scripture to recite in church was: “Remember thy creator in the days of thy youth.” I went from there to Girls in Action. We attended a GA Retreat at Carson-Newman College. Our leader was Pauline Julian who is now 103 years old. From there I was in Young Women’s Auxiliary, WMU Night Circle, and Women on Mission. I feel that WMU is the backbone of any church. It has been a great part of my 92 years of life. Dear God, there is no greater calling than to tell others about Your great love for them.
