Day 3 - Proverbs 3:24-26 You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. 25 You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, 26 for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. All around us there are things that can make us worry. Every day is a new adventure, and tomorrow is never promised. God is telling us that in Him we can have peace. No matter what may come our way, God says that when we put our trust in him, he is our security. This verse gives me hope. By nature, I tend to worry, and my mind wanders to the what ifs. I know that at any minute God can have a different plan for my life than what I have imagined. This is both exciting and scary. This verse tells me that I can put my trust in Him, and I do not have to worry. His plans are higher than mine, and his thoughts are higher than mine. I am comforted by knowing He is my security and not the worry of what could happen. I pray that I never forget that the Lord is my security. That regardless of what happens on this earth, he is sovereign and his plans for me are great! No matter what the cost or outcome, it is always better to trust in the Lord than any person, or thing! - Joslyn Elliot, Office Administrator
