Day 3 - we worshiped at the Episcopal cathedral in Port au Prince. - TopicsExpress

Day 3 - we worshiped at the Episcopal cathedral in Port au Prince. Over two hour service but fabulous. It was high church smells and bells as we like to call it. The cathedral was destroyed in the earthquake so the congregation meets in a simple structure with open walls.... Truly a church without walls. But a church with wonderful music and liturgy. The liturgy was all in kreyol! which was a first for that congregation since 1987! So much of the service, particularly the communion is what we do. Even in kreyol you know The Great Thanksgiving, lift up your hearts...we lift them up to The Lord. Then, after lunch we drove 3 hrs. North (only 70 miles!) to Hinche in Haitis central plateau. The roads are dangerous, but the scenery is awesome. Mountains beyond mountains. We are now at Hotel Lermitage. This is the hotel of the parents of Ralph Jean Mary, who, along with he spouse, Michelle are members of FHC - although now living in Abu Dhabi. Well fed, folks are beginning to break up to go to bed. We are happy.
