Day 3 Happiness/Gratitude Challenge: 1. Knitting. Wondering when Id get around to it, right? I knit every day, pretty much. I learned when I was so tiny that I didnt even know what it was; I thought it was a game like Cats Cradle. For whatever reason, it grabbed me and has hung on for dear life ever since! I love that I not only make the garment, toy, what-have-you, but I also make the fabric at the same time. Using two sticks and a string! Alchemy, I tell you. 2. OPDs. Other Peoples Daughters. There are many reasons why I chose not to have children, but thanks to my friends and sisters-in-law who raised some amazin girls, I have some great young women in my life. Im looking at you, Molly OConnor, Bryn Eva OConnor, Maille K Yarwood, Morgan Kader, Manda Martin, Maddy Martin, Hannah Noble, Hattie Noble, Hannah Sorgi, Christina Unger, Laura Blakeney, Heather Jankovictz, Jessica Jankovictz, and of course my beautiful stepdaughter Kellyanne Unger and her gorgeous daughter, Monica Diodonet. 3. The Internetz. Had some kind of an account or other since the dialup days of the 80s. Aside from everything else splendid about having the worlds knowledge literally at your fingertips, its brought me some wonderful people I otherwise would never have met, like my best-beloved Polly Pamela Capriotti Martin and my sister from another mister Connie DeMetsenare.
