Day 3 Operation Protective Edge: Today, rockets continued to bombard Israel, including several rockets that were launched at Jerusalem by Hamas, who apparently consider Jerusalem holy. In addition, security officials at an Israeli security checkpoint arrested a Palestinian carrying a makeshift explosive device, President Obama told PM Netanyahu that the US is willing to mediate an Israel-Hamas truce, Gazas Interior Ministry called on residents to ignore the IDFs knock on the roof procedure – which is when the Israeli military fires a small round to signal residents to evacuate their homes before a strike, and Hamas also said to ignore Israels phone calls warning the civilians to evacuate. The IDF also seems to be getting ready for a ground invasion, with tens of thousands of reserve soldiers currently on the border with Gaza. First of all, thank g-d for Israels security checkpoints, which continue to save lives. Secondly, dear President Obama, if one missile was launched into the United States, you would flatten the country that launched the missile at us, let Israel stand up for herself, enough is enough. Finally, look at how pathetic Hamas is, they deliberately tell their civilians to ignore the IDFs warnings and stay home, knowing that they are putting them in harms way. They are doing this intentionally to increase the amount of civilian injuries and casualties, its funny how Israel continues to do all it can to protect her civilians, as well as the Palestinian civilians, while Hamas continues to do the opposite.
