Day 3. We are all in good spirits around here, but getting restless. We got 6 last night which was a reprieve, and the storm has turned south (we think) which means hamburg and other towns already pummeled are still being hit. Its quiet, save for the sound of plows and service vehicles, and you feel like things should be back to normal. But the national guard in the bobcat on our street last night spent 5 hours and didnt even get a 1/4 of the street plowed...Because the snow is so dense and extremely heavy. Some folks we know are reporting cracks in their ceilings. And about 2 hours ago Jayson Clark knocked on our door to say the metal rods holding up our garage were buckling so he and Matthew Crane are currently shoveling the roof so the garage doesnt collapse... And that just further buries are already buried cars. And we have way more shoveling done around here then our neighbors but still have too much for these able bodies. I think Im partially documenting as much as I am to keep everyone in the loop and because with caring for Pax I feel a bit helpless on the shoveling end. Long story short, no idea when well get out of here. Maybe by boat in a few days when the #tsnownami melts into an actual tsunami?
