Day 3 (of 21) of Prayer and Fasting: Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Today I was praying for Saeed (for his warmth, for his nutrition, for his release) . The Lord kept reminding me of Matthew 6:33. I remembered Saeed sharing with me of how this was the verse that he would pray over and over again for a whole year when he was first saved. He wanted to pray for his education, his work, finances, his marriage, ...But the Lord put on Saeeds heart that he should focus on praying for kingdom of God and everything else would be added. For the entire year (from the year 2000 to 2001) all that Saeed would pray for was for the Kingdom of God to come to Iran and that the Muslims would come to know Christ (instead of praying for his own needs). Today I want to honor that prayer that Saeed prayed so long ago and the passion he had (and has) for the Muslim world. I have to admit that this is an area that has been hard for me to pray over. With all of the news of hate and killings out there and the fact that my husband is suffering in the Iranian prison because of Muslims, it is a struggle to keep my heart free of hate and to be able to see through the eyes of Jesus and to love and forgive. Today I opened up that sensitive place and blessed my enemies. Today I prayed for the Middle East region and the Muslim world. That they would know the Love of Jesus and to be transformed. I want to encourage you not to be afraid or dismayed with all of the news out there. The Lord is using it to show the world the difference between Light and dark, between truth and lie, between relationship and freedom found only in Christ and religion and bondage (found in any religion). Dark clouds is not always a bad sign. It means that rain (blessing) is coming. Amen! Love you all. Naghmeh
