Day 3 of 5 of the #fivedayblackandwhitechallenge #blackandwhitechallenge I really enjoy detail shots like this one where there is a combination of moving and stationary elements. This was taken along the Mistaya River near Waterfowl Lakes a couple of years ago. After making my way out to the mountains and snow shoeing in the dark in to this particular spot, the sunrise I had hoped to see just didnt happen... so I spent a very quiet and enjoyable morning making detail images along the banks of the river instead. The soft overcast winter light was perfect for this scene.
