Day 3 of Amys competition. Today was the last day of the competition, and the one which should have produces a clear winner. Unfortunately, it wasnt to be, all the competitors are so close that the judges will have to sit and think long and hard to arrive at a final decision. The competition is not only based on what is produced on the days, but more importantly how well it was produced- Was the competitor showing a true professional skill while baking? Were they clean and tidy? Were they conscious about limiting wastage? Have they produced a good work plan? Have they worked according to their work plan etc. A lot more than just being able to make a cake that looks nice. The taste also attributes to 60% of the points. We will need to wait until tomorrow to find out who made the cut. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, Amy is already a winner, she has risen to the top of WA and competed in this prestigious event and did us proud. Well done Amy. Now you can relax, job well done. And of course, we should not forget those who also helped Amy to get there. The management of WCTI (Tafe Joondalup ) Paul West Pastry lecturer at WCIT Nathan Mc Murdo Pastry lecturer at WCTI Stephen Clarke of Clark of Northbeach restaurant .
