Day 3 of Operation Bucket List: Got up early to go run (inside of course in the hotel gym, it was 31 degrees outside this morning). Went and got Dad from the room and then down for the continental breakfast. We grab our plates and slap some eggs on the plate and then a mean old bat comes from the kitchen area and asks to see our room key. Room key is displayed and she states we need to go to the front desk and to put our food down. I get disgruntled by the witches snootiness and toss my empty styrofoam bowl onto the buffet. She cops more of an attitude and I go to the front desk to ask what kind of super secret squirrel golden pass we need to eat. *Note: we had no problems Tuesday morning. The front desk employee states that our room discount plan we received through Hotwire ($50 per night) did not include continental breakfast and that breakfast was $10. Dad complained about the witches rudeness and we get todays breakfast free! There are only 15 cars in the parking lot! Dont be stingy!!! We head off to Graceland and are there just a little after 10am. We get our VIP swag and headed to our VIP line (no line) to wait for our VIP bus. Did I mention I got us VIP tickets? The VIP bus takes us across the street to Graceland. Dad and I start the tour. We walk the grounds at Dads pace with an audio guided tour we can start and stop. We take an umpteen number of pictures of any and everything. If you havent been to Graceland, its pretty swanky (even by todays standards!). I mean, shag carpet on the walls...def fit for a King!!! Lol. We completed the other 5-6 tours of the other exhibits and took just as many pics. We are walking out of Graceland at 1645. Had a ton of fun with the old man! Before leaving, the old timer spotted Harley Davidson -Graceland. We walked up and saw a HD displayed in the window. It was a prototype HD Elvis Presley edition that if it were for sale would cost a little over $100k!!! Dad was like a 12 year old kid that saw his first crush walk by! Lol. Its good to see a smile on his face. We finally left and headed back to the hotel. We pick up a few beers and dinner and kick it at the hotel the rest of the night. These two boys need some much needed R&R! Day 4: Traveling to Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis).
