Day #3 of Positivity and downright Good Things in Life: 1. Silver Linings. My mother, the nature guru, informed me that the horrifically beautiful caterpillars infesting my herb garden were swallowtail butterflies in the making. “Surely you’re not going to kill them?” Guess I can buy basil at Weis. 2. Work. Or shall I say Workplace? Especially the social aspect. I have made the best friendships there, and worked with some incredibly smart people. And the people I’ve met just hanging out in the halls and the Fitness Center. 3. Pleasant Service People. Maybe it’s just the places I frequent but it’s been a long time since I’ve encountered a snarky clerk. From the Westminster post office guy (he looked all of 18) who taught me all about the self-serve weigh station, to the Bullocks butcher who sang Gwen Stefani while he wrapped my pork roast, people just go about their work cheerfully.
