Day 3 of another round here at Johns Hopkins Sorry I have had my phone on silent and havent been up to talking to anyone. I havent posted because already after just 2 doses of chemo I am so tired and weak. It noon and Im too tired to get out of bed. Part of it is that I simply need rest.. the other 1/2 is having nurses in and out of my room all night for vitals, pre-chemo meds, chemo, then vitals, then a shot, then meds and now I sit with a bucket in my lap fighting nausea. Its been a rough start. I promised my nurse and myself I would get up around 2p and make myself walk and I will. Ive also had a good cry this morning for Gabriel and just the situation but i know there are others worse off and I have to get it together … get up and get going. No one is going to win this battle for me. I wish I had my 5B nurses here to make me laugh. I told my doctor I would be doing better over there because they help energize me. Another struggle is that im on whats called contact precautions. Apparently, when I left last time I had a blood test and they found an airborne virus that I tested positive for. Its only an issue if im near others who have low immune systems. So for the next month I have to wear a yellow gown to leave my room and my mask and cannot enter any common areas and Cesar and any guests must wear and sleep in this yellow gown and gloves. Even if i test negative today - i need to be on these precautions for 4 weeks. It stinks. That means if i want to prepare food from the pantry that Cesar brings in for me from friends or get water or anything.. I have to ask a nurse to go in and get it. You feel bad to keep bugging them for every little thing. Its a rough start and im so mad at myself that Im still in bed. Dont worry I will #ArmorUp soon and get going… its just been a rough day.
