Day 3 of this 5 Days of Gratitude Challenge and today the 3 friends I nominate are my beautiful childhood girlfriend from Illinois, Danielle F Lynch, my darling neice Nena Barrios and another beautiful friend from Illinois days, Doreen Harrison-Perez. So if you wish to participate, for 5 days list 3 things you are grateful for each day and nominate 3 other friends each day.....I am so grateful to have so many beautiful friends on Fb...such great hearted people..Todays 3 things I am grateful for are 1. I am grateful that I have a roof over my head and plenty of food to eat. I myself at one time in my life, shortly after I left home and moved to Florida, was homeless. I was too proud to turn to my parents for help because I wanted to make it on my own. I lived off of ketchup packages that Id mix with water for soup, took showers at the beach and slept there as well. I remember crying myself to sleep some nights because I felt so lost. It took the kindness of a local Sheriff that used to patrol the beach parking lots at night and his lovely wife, that took me in, bought me a car, paid first last and security for an apartment so I could get back on my feet. Eventually I paid them back and I continue to strive to be the kind of people they were and pay it forward any chance I get because I know what it feels like to have nothing. 2. I am grateful that I live in a town where I dont have to lock my doors at night and kids can play in the street without fear of being hurt. I have wonderful neighbors. We all watch out for one another..and everyone waves hello, some stop and converse, whenever we pass.I actually know most of them by name and I cant be more blessed to call them my friends. 3. I am grateful for my best friend Jacqueline Wainwright...shes my sister from another mister and I seriously dont know where Id be if I didnt have her in my life..she has been my therapist, counselor, backbone, confidant, comedian and all around my North Star...shes the first person I want to share everything with, whether its good or bad..she is the kindest, funniest person I know...she has a heart of gold and I could never ever thank her enough for always having my back and making me smile everyday. I love you Jaci!!
