Day 3 results for CSC Canadian Nationals: Up first. In the morning bracket was Jamie Boon for his semi final match after his 1st KO win. Jamie fought hard and won a unanimous decision victory to fight in the finals at the night bracket. The other semi final fight in his divison got canceled so his opponent got a bye right to the finals. Jamie foguth hard against a fresh opponent but came up short. He goes 2-1 with 1 KO win for the weekend to earn a Silver Medal. Next up in the morning bracket was Matt Petrie. He fought hard, dominated the clinch. The judges scored it as a draw and they had to fight a sudden virtory round that saw Matt doninating the clinch, landing numerous knees. He was handed a BAD split decision loss. He earned a bronze medal in his divison. Up next in the morning bracket was Relentless Nick Hoover. Nick fought a strong opponent in a war. He used his slick boxing and hard kicks to earn split decision win to move on to the finals. In his final match Nick fought a tough opponent in a war. Nick put on a dominate perfermoance to win. He went 3-0 with 1 KO win for the weekend to become the 2014 CSC Canadian K1 Champion. Mike Lippai fought in the Finals after winning his semi final match yesterday by 1st round KO. He fought a very tough opponent and showed lots of heart. He came up short in the finals and earned a Silver Medal in his divison. He goes 1-1 with 1 KO win for the weekend. In some very unfornate events and circumstances, Mike Cossey wins 2 fights by w/o and is awared the Gold in his divison to become 2014 CSC Canadian Champion. Im very proud of all my students. All of them fought well and showed heart. Every fighter who fought a Fifth Round fighter walked away knowing that they were in a fight and had war wounds to remember it. Good work team, let keep training hard and striving to become the best!
