Day 3: trying social media to get results b/c my daily calls to the service center havent helped. I purchased an unlocked Sony Mobile Sony Xperia Sony Xperia Z1 compact for almost $500 at the end of June. I had the phone for a week and the screen cracked on its own (this apparently was a known issue xperiablog.net/2014/05/30/bbcs-watchdog-investigates-xperia-z1-cracking-screen-issue-sony-responds/ I sent my phone in for repair to Sonys service center in Laredo, Texas and was told I was approved for a new phone because it was defective. It is now September and I still DO NOT have a phone. I have spoken to several people at the service center and I am always told they are sorry for the long delay, it is unusual for it to take this long, my case has been escalated, they are waiting for stock to come in or a supervisor will be contacting me I havent heard from a supervisor and Sony cant tell me when I should get a new phone. The Sony website has the phone for sale...I do NOT understand what the hold up is. I am now out the $500 and the phone. I bought the phone thinking Sony was a reputable company, however 2 months to replace a defective phone is unacceptable. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
