Day 327 (Music Passed Down From Family)-- A large part of the music I love was passed down to me by my older brothers, so it is hard to narrow it down. One memory stands out, however. I remember loving Bob Dylan when I was a little kid, but I started to get into him in earnest when I was in middle school. One afternoon stands out in my memory. I was probably 12. It was a Sunday afternoon in summer, and, for some reason, the power was out, but we put batteries in my boom box. Roy Stromberg introduced Matt and I to a lot of Dylan albums for the first time that day. I remember being blown away by how different Dylans voice sounded on Nashville Skyline! In addition to Dylan, though, he also brought in a couple of CDs by another artist. He said, If you like Bob Dylan, youll probably like this guy, too. Then he put on Harvest.
