Day 33: Today amid my pity party regarding the past month, I pause to be thankful.... Thankful for the small steps of progress that Robert is experiencing each day and most thankful for Gods faithfulness each step of the way. During our extended hospital stay, I lost the charger to my Kindle which houses my Jesus Calling Daily Devotions which I have enjoyed meditating on sharing each day over the past year. I finally got time to get a replacement charger and was able to retrieve this cherished daily meditation... and as is often the case, the devotional thoughts spoke directly to me. So today, I am thankful as I see Christ in the trials and triumphs of the past month and remember these thoughts which I share with you.... Christ is with you, watching over you constantly. He is Immanuel (God with us); His Presence enfolds you in radiant Love. Nothing, including the brightest blessings and the darkest trials can separate you from Him. Some of His children find Him more readily during dark times, when difficulties force them to depend on Him. Others feel closer to Him when their lives are filled with good things. They respond with thanksgiving and praise, thus opening wide the door to His Presence. He knows precisely what you need to draw nearer to Him. Go through each day looking for what He has prepared for you. Accept every event as His hand-tailored provision for your needs. When you view your life this way, the most reasonable response is to be thankful. Do not reject any of His gifts; find Him in every situation. (Jesus Calling) Matthew 1:23 Colossians 2:6-7
